One of our site sponsors also offer the service.Ģ) The other is a bit more expensive as it was intended as "race only", but the upside in my opinion is that, (apart from running a custom built fuel map) immediatly after refitting the ecu, your bike is ready to ride.no need to play with Ignition Timing etc. If you're serious about this, purchase the flash and fuel module and run them as a complete package.Īs far as flashed ecu are concerned there are two types and they have different costs.ġ) The cheapest is Flash-Tune and I've seen guys offering this service for as little as 50 dollars.or you can buy the flashing suite and do it yourself. Now here's the crux.do you get the Bazzaz/PC and get your custom map, then flash the ecu and load your map into the ecu?.or the other way round.and what then?.sell the fuel module? how much does it cost vs how much cash do you lose? If, a flashed ecu is the way to go, you still need that individually dyno tuned custom map to suit your bike.
Only you can decide how far into tuning you want to go, so you may need to question what do you want your bike to do for you.
Now, a flashed ecu is probably the best mod that anyone can do in so far as removing factory restrictions and allowing for further/future engine performance mods. Also, people modify these custom maps to suit there own needs.these maps when passed around, become generic maps.some times good, some times bad.
But remember that these maps are not built for your individual bike.even if they were built on a dyno for your "year" bike and/or if they share the same mods.
Using both the dyno and fuel module enables us to build a custom fuel map fo your individual bikes needs.Įveryone at one time or another shares these custom fuel maps with other folks. So in order to tune an individual bike, we need to fit a fuel module (Bazzaz or Power Commander) and run the bike on a dyno. This is all true for sure, but to be honest.the choice between an ecu flash and a Power commander can be a tough one for some.įirstly, no one bike runs the same as the next and every individual bike requires tailored tuning, specific to that bike.
